Hello! My name is Alice and I am the webmaster of Voices On A String.
My main site is Alice In Avocado Land and while I do post about Thursday there sometimes, I wanted to make a place dedicated solely to the band.
This site was made because I felt that there was a lack of Thursday fan communities active online right now and even if no one looks at it I know I've had a great time putting it together! I have also felt very nostalgic for fan communties of the early 2000s and feel that the individuality of a fansite is lost in modern social media aesthetics.
For the look of Voices On A String I took inspiration from the Thursday website circa Full Collapse - fullcollapse.com. I've tried not to take too much inspiration from the site, however, so that Voices On A String is unique and not just a copy.

I started listening to Thursday in 2020 and have since seen them live 2 times! They are my favourite band ever and have genuinely changed my life for the better, I have met so many awesome people through the band, on and offline and hope to meet many more.
